So, I've been gone for quite some time now.  I apologize, dear xanga public for any pain felt in mine absence...

Well, now that that's over with, *drum roll* allow me to introduce my exciting life to date...

I spent all of yesterday as any person would.  I was surrounded by five Welshman.  Yep, I'm one happy girl.

If one has never dined with a Welshman, I should consider it a great misfortune.  They are a lovely people with a rather lazy, fun accent that is intoxicating.  It was like dining with hobbits.  They were short, hilarious, and broke into song at any random moment.

I especially enjoy Huw (pronounced "Hugh") and Stephen.  Huw is an opera singer and  was the lead in the Phantom of the Opera for many years.  Through that, he has traveled all over Europe.  Devestatingly exciting.  Stephen was born and raised in Wales, but has since lived in Boston for quite a few years.  He has been a doctor before and is one of the closest people to Patch Adams that I've ever met.  He always had a smile, joke, and song.  The three of us spent all of lunch discussing Europe, missions, nursing, and why I'm not in Paris anymore.

Among the others were Kevin, who's a historian/preacher who is incredibly passionate for God and his new wife.  Whoever says preachers aren't fun have never met this guy who danced to make any Welshman proud and quoted Monty Python.  He's awesome. Emyr and Paul were also present.  They were the tech gurus with these incredible presentations.  Super talented.

Anyways, this is how I spent my Sunday, and it was awesome.

I think I'll go to Wales...

I have a music paper due at 5 pm today.  I think I'll write it this afternoon...

School is the bane of my existance.  So long as we're clear on that.

*yawn*  On to lectures..

Later days...

Yeah!  Carey's finally on Xanga.  That brings a tear to the eye...

Anyways, now that all of my cool  friends are on Xanga I can definitely come back more.

So I officially hate  health assessment.  Does anyone else know what I'm saying? It's super awful.  I'm convinced there has to be an easier way to live a fulfilling life.  Help me my millionareish friends.  How do you do it?

Wait, I don't have millionareish friends!  Tehe.    Just kidding folks.

Feel the love...

Anyways, I have to go to work.  I know, I know, I work all the time.  Oh well.  At least I get paid to be bossy.  Maybe I should look into that kind of work...

"Once upon a time there was a sea lion who had lost the sea..." - John Eldredge

The story is told of a sea lion who had lost the sea in a seemingly endless desert.  He stumbles across a puddle surrounded by a tree and a rock and settled there and eventually forgot about the sea altogether.  So he sat, day after day... But, every so often, late at night, the sea lion would flop atop his rock, stick his head high in the air and sniff the far off sea breezes that swept across the barren land.  The sea was calling to him...

It's the story of my life.

We weren't meant for this world.  We are being called.  My heart leads me to that intimate walk with Jesus our Saviour because "He's the closest to heaven that I'll ever be..." at least right now.

So, maybe life isn't all that bad considering it's so temporary...

What really lasts?

Friends, may our lives not be wasted on the mundane when our Coheir is calling us to the adventure we've always wanted...

Hey, does anyone know how to make music play when you're using a xanga skin?

IS there even a way?

*pout*
